Istraživač paganskih kultova američki antropolog Čarls Leland boraveći osamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća na tlu Sjeverne Italije, istražujući drevnu etrursku mitologiju, zaključio je da se već stoljećima na tom tlu njeguje kult Aradie zaštitnice vještica.
Prema predanju koje je dobio od vještice Madlene, Aradia Kraljica vještica, je kćerka Dijane i Lucifera. Prema legendi koju je Leland i zapisao u “Evanđelju vještica“, Dijana i Lucifer su bili brat i sestra, Dijana je prva kreacija, prva Tama iz koje se rodilo sve ostalo, dok je Lucifer nosilac svjetla, svjetlonoša, njen brat, njena druga polovina.
Dijana je voljela magiju, spuštala se na zemlju i sve do VI. stoljeća njen kult je njegovan u nepokrštenom, heretičkom dijelu Evrope ( u Bosni, naravno mnogo duže ) kada je od strane Crkve zabranjen i proglašen demonskim.
Na našim prostorima zvali smo je Devana, bila je prva boginja, prva Tama, vrhovno božanstvo, a zatim vremenom je postala jedna od boginja, nešto se desilo, a to možda ima veze sa ovom pričom. Devana je ime čije je porijeklo izvorno arijevsko zbog čega postoji jasna indicija da su Devana i Dijana zapravo samo dvije različite varijante jednog te istog imena.
Stari Arijevci su znali za Devase, koji su bili sinovi Dajusa, oca neba, dakle, sami bogovi. Iz sanskritskog termina deva proizašle su riječi deus i teos koje takođe označavaju Boga. Imena mnogih bogova imaju svoje porijeklo u ovom terminu: Dionis, Zevs, Diona, Dana (keltska vrhovna boginja) i naravno, Dijana i Devana. Tako bi Dijana i Devana označavale onu prvobitnu, vrhovnu boginju, koja je kasnije izgubila svoju vrhovnu moć i postala jedna od bogova. Vjerovanje ili znanje u prvobitnu boginju sličnu Devani postojalo je odvajkada na ovim prostorima. Stanovnici Balkana klanjali su se Šumskoj Majci, gospodarici šuma i šumskih bića. Upravo su Dijana i Devana šumske boginje, zaštitnice divljih životinja i boginje lova. Prizore lova vidjamo veoma često kao motiv na našim stećcima.
Ako posmatramo Devanu kao aspekt Vrhovne boginje koja se kroz tri faze mjeseca i tri faze u životu žene pojavljuje kao Djevica, Majka i Starica, vidjećemo da Devani svakako pripada prvi aspekt, aspekt Djevice. Ova legenda očigledno označava vrijeme prelaska svjetla u Tamu, prelaska Djevice u Majku, pada Lucifera u Tamu, vrijeme u kojem živimo…
Legenda kaže da se Dijana zaljubila u svog brata Lucifera, da je poželjela Svjetlost u svojoj Tami. ( Ne znam da li vidite moj osmijeh na licu ?) Pošto nije mogla nikako da ga zavede, jer se Lucifer plašio Tame, Dijana je rješila da ga prevari tako što se pretvorila u mačku, koje je Lucifer obožavao. Sačekala je Svjetlost, zoru i pojavila se Luciferu kao mačka. On ju je uzeo u krilo i kada je počeo da je miluje, a ona se opet pretvori u Boginju i zavede ga. Sad znam zašto ne volim mačke.
U ovoj legendi se ne spominje šta se desilo sa Luciferom, ali po ranokrišćanskim izvorima Lucifer je postao pali andjeo, srušio se u podzemlje, upao je u Tamu…
Iz te ljubavi ili već čega, rodi se Aradia, a po kasnijim pričama bješe to godina 1313 dana 13 u mjesecu Avgustu.
Njena majka Dijana naučila je magiji da i ona uči ljude kako bi zaštitila potlačene od nove religije i potlačenosti. Aradia se kao avatar spustila na Zemlju i postala zaštitnica Vještica. Etrurski folkloristi govore o Aradii kao mesiji koja je došla na zemlju i priča je izmješana sa mnogim mitovima i vjerovanjima, te kroz ovu knjigu postaje inspiracija novim nekonvencionalnim vjerovanjima. Neka historijska istraživanja govore da je u realnosti Aradia je bila dijete incesta koja je rođena 13. 08. 1313 u Toskani. Njena majka ju je dala na čuvanje sluškinji koja je bila Grkinja i obožavala kult Dijane. Jedne večeri Aradia je vidjela sluškinju kako izvodi ritual, ona ju je pozvala u krug i tako je naučila magiji.
Tako je Aradia postala zaštitnica italijanskih vještica Strega.
Dijana Aradii:
„I ti ćeš biti prva od vještica poznata;
I ti ćeš biti prva od cijeloga svijeta;
I ti ćeš učiti umijeću trovanja, od trovanja onih koji su veliki gospodari svima;
I ti ćeš učiniti da umiru u svojim palatama;
I ti ćeš povezati dušu tlačitelja (vradžbinama);
A kad nađete seljaka koji je bogat, tada ćeš ti vještica naučiti , svoje učenike, kako da uništi sve usjeve olujama teškim, uz munje i strašnu grmljavinu sa gradom i strašnim vjetrom … “
Danas ovo predanje predstavlja osnovu Gardnerovske Vike. Leland je sve podatke koje je dobio od vještice Madlene zapisao u knjizi „Aradia-Gospel of the witches“ ili „Evanđelje Vještica“. Knjiga pored dva mita o stvaranju sadrži i bajalice, vradžbine kao i italijanske bajke. Iako kritičari kažu da je Leland dosta uljepšao štivo, a Gardner ga falsifikovao, taj mit o Aradii, Luciferu i Dijani i danas živi u ritualnoj praksi Vike.
Ono sto je zanimljivo za današnju Viku jeste da se prelomna godina za njeno osnivanje smatra 1951. Te 1951 god. ukinut je u Britaniji zakon o inkviziciji i tada kreće razvoj modernog vještičarstva. Kad tražim paralelu sa dešavanjima kod nas, 1952 u tadašnjoj FNRJ je zabranjen rad Derviškim tekijama u Bosni i Kosovu,a jedino su tamo i bile aktivne.
Vika kao religija danas se razlikuje od monoteističkih religija zato što jedina govori o dualnosti njegujući ovaj stari paganski kult Boginje Dijane i Lucifera. Boginja Dijana je personifikovana kao žena u svim svojim fazama postojanja počev od djevice, pa do starice. Zanimljivo je da se kult Mjeseca i žene ogleda u podudarnosti ženskih mjesečnih ciklusa kojih ima 13 , isto tako Vika slavi ukupno 13 esbata i sabata u godini. Aradia, kao kćer Dijane i Lucifera i zaštitnica vještica je jedino Božanstvo koje ne pripada dualnosti ove religije , znači nema svoj Božanski par.
A ja samo mogu reći da je vidim kao inkarnaciju naše drage i najviše zbog straha ne spominjane prve žene Adamove, Lilith ..
Želim da skrenem pažnju da smo postojali i prije nego sto smo postali srbi, muslimani, hrvati, bošnjaci i ostali. Bili smo jedan moćan narod sa svojim jezikom, znanjem, duhovnim školama, spomenicima i sjećanjima za koje nas ubjeđuju da su nešto drugo …
